why is it that when...
I shift quicker, I can let the clutch out quicker without a jerk versus if I shift slower and let the clutch out quicker and I DO get a jerk.
Can anyone explain to me why this is? Thanks!

yep...i've seen it b4 just didn't know what it meant =P but seriously...
can anyone answer my question? I know not to let the clutch out quick when I am shifting slowly =P It's a very smooth ride. Just curious to know why when I shift quicker gear to gear, I can let out the clutch quicker versus slower.

RPMs need to match gear selected.
At slow speed shift, you probably do not step on gas and are lugging the engine. Its just like popping the clutch from standing start without giving the engine any gas...car lurches and engine kills. You must be better at matching engine RPM to gear selection when shifting fast because you are trying to go fast.

No no no...maybe I didn't word my original post correctly...(more)
I normally shift at 3000-3500 RPM's. I can shift smoothly, no problem. I'm not lugging the engine in any way. I usually shift leisurely, not quick, not slow...car doesn't jerk, etc.
I'm just trying to find out, when I shift quickly into the next gear, why is it that I can let out the clutch quicker than normal without getting a jerk.
