Window regulator or broken clip? suggestions??

My rear window made a popping sound and stopped partway up. I am now able to manually pull the window up but it slowly slides back down after a few minutes of driving. If I run the window motor to the "top" I can then lower the window again. The motor doesn't have enough juice to budge the window up.

I took the door apart and found this broken clip. What's the diagnosis here...do I need a new regulator? a new clip? or both?

Here's a pic of the green clip. As you can see, the top tab is broken.

thanks.

get the part from the dealer.

This happened to me and i went budget online and the part in no way fit. Had to return it pia 6 weeks for refund just to have to goto the dealer to get it anyways. The entire top of the door has to come off to change it. I don't know if you can get just the clip. I got the whole thing. was 175ish if i remember. expensive but it fixed it.

Interesting...

Did you purchase the window guide assembly and a regulator?

I'll avoid buying online from your source...where did you purchase it online?

i don't remember what part it was. i think the regulator only. i think it was autopartswarehouse.com

all of those autoparts sites have the same web format and the same parts. they all just drop ship em from the same place. So if one place has the wrong part then they all do.. well most of em. u know what i mean.
