Funny how defensive service mgr is, sounds like he's looking for any way out of being responsible
 

Don't they do a pre-check for any damage before they take the car? My dealer does, same time they take the VIN and milage. Sucks man, good luck.

call the dealer and ask for the general manager.. always works for me.
