"I3" Flash update...anyone have it?
So I'm about to go in for my 15K service, and when I get there, my APR friendly tech is on vacation, and I still have my APR program loaded, so I leav and rreschedule for two weeks.
Has anyone has flash revision "I3" sone on their APR car?
If I set it to the stock setting, will the revision still erase my APR program?
Any advice form anyone who has been through this?

Personal Site (work in progress, looks like crap now)

The reflash at the 15k service will overwrite the APR. It's a simple matter for the APR dealer to re-load their software, probably for a charge for labor, but not for the software. Minor inconvenience, but no big deal.

Been there, done that.
I have unswitchable APR91 but I suspect you'll lose everything too. Went to dealer for my 15k. They reflashed with their I3 program. I never said anything about chip -- neither did they. Got car back. Didn't start as nice. Less torque at low RPM's. But better than orignal stock at higher RPM's. Really good MPG for the week before going back to APR -- Avg'd 36 mpg on a hot 30 minute drive. Got APR back for $15 -- my APR guy is pretty cool. Noticed improvement in low RPM torque right away. Haven't seen 36 mpg since. No big deal.

Even after you got the APR flashed back, you had low torque?
Of course, it does take some time for it to "learn" the APR program to make max power.
How is it now?
I seriously might have my dealer tech try to avoid the flash, since there are only 7 months left in my lease and I dont want to fix anything that isn't broken.

Because if it's not broke, don't fix it...
After working in the tuning business for awhile, and tracking Fords (granted, this is Ford we're talking about) flash running changes, people started asking to NOT get the updates, because drivability often gets less preferable once it's changed and new problems started poping up.
This is pretty common with any kind of update (think of Windows Vista, lol)
Different or new isn't always better.
If the car is running perfect, I don't want to change anything.
