Default $350 fee at end of lease ?

My dealer did NOT inform me of this, but I just read in another thread on this site that there is a $350 turn in fee at the end of the lease?

Is this true?

yeah, says it right on Audi's website too in the lease terms when you read about the specials.

Default Look at your contract, the one you signed.

But usually when you get another Audi they wave that.

Thanks for the replies. I have not yet signed a contract - my dealer is locating my car from another dealership - so I will have to very carefull read the lease agreement.

I'm just upset that my dealer didn't even bother to mention this, nor is it on any of the paperwork I have so far with lease estimates, etc.

Default Yeah, you can request a copy of the lease agreement.

They can fax you a blank copy.

Sorry your dealer appears to be a bit on the "non-forthcoming" side. Not only had I read about the disposition fee on the Audi website, but the dealer I went to made a point of explaining the fee (I forgot the blah, blah, blah, since a buck out of pocket is still just that however you dress it up). However, the dealer did say that the fee is charged by Audi Financial Services, not the dealer, and that if I buy my car at end of lease term or lease another Audi, I will not be charged. It is not something you pay upfront, so the possibility always is there to "charm" the dealer into waiving it at end of the lease term. By that I mean maybe going in a month or two before the lease is up and if the car looks great and is below the miles in your contract, strike a deal whereby you will be "extra careful" and drive less until the lease is over if he waives the disposition fee. In essence you suggest that you will flex on how you use the vehicle and will return it in the condition and with low miles that will enable the dealer to probably make much more than the $350 by having a "primo" off-lease 2-yr old Audi A4 - the thing many people line up for. The art of compromise can work wonders!
