0-60 a42.0 vs. 3.2 tiptronic

I'll never get the "which is faster?" questions
Please don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to flame you. This question comes up all the time.
From my point of view, if my biggest concern was just going fast, I wouldn't buy an Audi. (well except maybe a S4)
Neither car is "blazing" stock, but both are reasonably quick and have the same limited top speed.
They deliver their power differently.
The 2.0 is more tunable and when chipped is probably "faster/quicker" than the 3.2.
Test drive them both (and other makes) and weigh all the considerations...including price.
There is so much more to Audis than going fast.
Frankly, if going fast is your primary concern, you might want to go with a different make.

Re: Here are the specs
Actually, I do in fact live upstate.
I've never timed it, but my butt says Audi's numbers are pretty accurate if I launch in Sport mode. (mine's a 2.0 Quattro/Tip)
I suspect some of the mags' test drivers test it in D.

Acceleration times are about right
As for what magazines claim, there have been some where a 2.0T quattro would do 0-60 in under 7 seconds which is clearly wrong. Audi's numbers are about right.
