2.0 TFSI engine boosting question
Hello all! Is there anyone who can teel me, where to find the boost control valve on the TFSI engine? I'm talking about the valve where ECUs turbo pressure sensor is located. Has anybody tried to install bleed valve into the circuit before the sensor, so you could fool the ECU to get higher boost? I have done it few years ago with Volvos and it worked fine. I could get max. twice the normal boost pressure compared to orginal. My current car is so called sport edition version with orginal 220PS and it's chipped to 260PS, but I need to get more. Can this procedure been done on TFSI engine? If it's possible, I just want to try what is the effect because with Volvos turbo engine the effect was huge.

Don't do it. Your chip is "only" pushing that much boost for a reason.
You could squeeze a few more psi out of it but unless you have an FMIC and other cooling mods its just not worth it. You're not going to get double of the original boost on a stock turbo, your fueling will give you problems and whatever extra boost spike you'll get at mid rpms, will dissipate quickly because your turbo is not capable of flowing that much more at higher rpms.
BUT hey, its your car.
BUT hey, its your car.
