Hey guys I don't really post on here too often but lurk inthe background lol. Anyways I have a 2006 a4 and I've been having trouble with my drivers side window. At first it would roll down but would not roll back up. In order to get it back up i have to pretty much put the switch up for a sec and release it and repeat that until the window is up. At this point the window won't even roll down anymore. It just cracks a bit and hen seems to get stuck. I took it to a shop and by looking at it he said it was the regulator and would probably cost around $500 for the part and labor.

I feel as if he is just trying to rob me cuz $500 for a window seems sorta steep. What do u guys think the problem is and how much should I be paying to get it fixed.

Its the regulator and $500 is too much.
