Default 2006 A4 headlight warning light?

Anyone know the meaning of the the "warning light" which looks like a yellow headlight with a bent arrow on it? Came on this morning...can't find this one in the manual. It's displying in the info display, not as an idiot light. Diagnotics still show a nice green "OK".

Any ideas?

Default Adaptive headlight fault

I had that once, after I hit a pretty big pot hole hard. Turn car off and back on, warning gone. Never came back and that was two months ago.

Default Re: Adaptive headlight fault

Ah! Interesting. It came on at the *exact* same time I was passing (rapidly!) another car. Perhaps the sudden speed change and hitting a small bump (!) might have confused the system. Went out to the parking lot just now...warning light is gone.

Do you know of a good reference for these warnings?

Default It should be in the manual

I never checked the manual to see if this warning light is documented in there or not.

Default I get it all the time, and the dealership won't fix it

I get it all the time. And everytime I clear the code out with a VAG-com cable, this comes back up every time.....

When I check the VAG-com logs after running a full diagnostics check, I always get this:

1 Fault Found:

02769 - Headlight Swivel Module; Left
003 - Mechanical Failure - Intermittent

Basically the dealership says they won't do anything about it because it's not a "category 3" issue, so I'm just fcuked with this problem that happens on most nights I drive the car

Default It's not, but here's a pic of it

I've been having this problem since October of last year and I made numerous posts about it with lots of info that I found (and from VAG). Basically my problem seems to be a malfunctioning mechanism in the driver side headlight assembly but it's not worth replacing in Audi's opinion.

Default not a "category 3" issue == Too expensive to fix

Did they tell you what they were gonna do when your car goes out of warranty and this cause some other problem?

I'd be asking them why there is a thing called warranty that should cover this
