I have a 2.0 quattro with the APR 93. A few times now while accelerating hard the RPM goes down while punching it. It can be around 5000 RPM and it just steadily declines. There are no warning lights and once the foot comes off the gas peddle and reapplied the car will perform normally.
Also I recently had my car in for the 55Km service and had a 2011 A4 loaner. The new A4 vastly out performed in acceleration and smoothness compared to my 2007 with APR93. This is different compared to last time I had my car in for service and borrowed a 2010. At that point I felt that my 2007 with APR93 kicked the 2010.
Any thoughts on what could be the issue?? I mentioned this to the service guys and they had the injectors cleaned but it didn't seem to improve anything.

Could be a partially clogged fuel filter. Almost sounds like the car is starving for fuel under heavy acceleration. Does it loose RPM only or does it feel like it is bogging down?

As the car is de-accelerating it seems to be bogging down then it kicks in and everything is good
