A4 cheaper to lease than an A3...

This according to my dealer's local ad. So why would anyone want an A3 for $389/mo when you can get a bigger A4 for $349/mo?

some people say the A3 is "sportier"

because A3 is a 1st year car, they're cautious in terms of setting the residual value...

My guess is they set it lower to be an insurance, in case the car is not well received in the market. They'll probably adjust the rates after they finalize realistically how well the car is selling...

I went to look at A3 3.2 Sline....

Started to work the numbers with salesperson I have bought 3 cars from over the years and she said tha A3 does not lease well, so I asked about the payment on the A4 Avant 3.2 Sline and it was $100/month cheaper and cost about 10K more. I was sold.
