A4 Front parking light bulb replacement
Can any kind person advise me on how to replace the front (R/H) parking light bulb on my 2005 A4 Avant?
I have taken away the ducting, and removed the side cover from the headlight assembly, but it does not seem possible to reach the back of the parking light bulb. Will I have to remove the headlamp assembly? I've located three screws to do this, but the assembly seems to be secured to the side wing, and I can't see how to release it. Help please! I'm sick of being warned of a failed bulb every time I start the car. |
I have had the exact same bulb out for about a month. Right with you...had the entire headlight assembly out but something in the corner is holding it in. I even asked the B7 S4 & RS4 forums and nobody knows how to change the bulb. Guess I'm going to give up and have the dealer do it. I've changed timing belts but can't change a bulb. Go figure.

Got it...remove the two screws and air intake duct. There is a round door on the side of the headlight assembly. Push down the tab at the top to open and remove it. Turn and remove the DRL bulb. I had to use pliers. Then wiggle and pull the parking light bulb straight back. If you have big hands like me this whole process is somewhat difficult. I should have had my 6-year-old daughter work with me.
