The gas wouldn't be doing this. Based on all of what you've given It sounds like your low pressure fuel pump. If it's on the way out it'll get worse. Your car isn't going to explode or anything like that. A new pump will run you under 250 and requires a little work, but very doable. There's diys all over the Web. My assumption is if it's not the lpfp then it's gotta be control module or electrical related. Keep us posted.

Yeah lpfp is what my gut says but I brought it to Audi for a diagnostic and after 2 hours they narrowed it down to hpfp or G247.

Always remember just because they're Audi doesn't necessarily mean they're correct. After paying a $190 diagnostic after stalling dozens of times. I was quoted a $3000 transmission job as the most likely repair. I did my own research for three months, new nothing about these cars. I literally trained myself to narrowing it down to $15 dollar relay. Having no tools or garage at the time I towed it to an inde mech and told him what I needed. Fixed for $150, but he ended up breaking my ECU Covers. This is just one incidence I've had with Audi. The best thing is to know your car. Good luck and report back to us so future Audi owners can see this!

Right on, thank you. I'm going back to my first garage in two days I'm going to give them the paperwork from Audi but also tell them my gut feeling and see where we go from there. I'll report back then.

It turned out to be the hpfp. I'm glad I went to Audi for a diagnostic because the garage I went where I had the used car dealer warrant had already ruled it out. Now I'm hoping I can bring the old pump back to Audi and have them refund some of my diagnostic and put a new hpfp in instead of the used good as new one that the used car dealer put in. Lesson learned I will pay the money and go to Audi for anything that requires thought.
