adding an iPod input on a Bose system

is it possible to add an iPod input on a 2006 A4 w/a Bose system. Very surprised it didn't come standard.

yeaa there is, i got one on mine...i bought it like that tho so I'm not exactly sure how to do it.

I plug in my ipod and push the CD button and it plays my ipod...it doesn't say the name of the song or anything it just says CD 1 song 12 or whatever but it sounds good. I have an ipod cable coming into my glovebox and it connects in there.

Audimacrebel - Have you checked out the resources that Enfig Stereo has posted? This page has a lot of helpful info: http://enfig.wordpress.com/2010/02/0...-a4-2007-2008/

I believe there is an Audi factory accessory one as well. Of course it's going to be twice as much but you know it will work with your steering wheel controls.

I don't think the Audio/OEM accessory shows artist text/song info on the multifunction display. I've never done business with Enfig, but I thought there demo and install videos were pretty useful. They give you a good idea of what the different iPod adapters can do, including steering wheel control.
