My silver '07 2.0T has what I can only decribe as cloudy/dirty/blotchy areas in the paint on the hood and upper front fenders, along with a perfectly-square area of discoloration around the antenna.

I'm taking it in next week but wanted to find out beforehand if this is just me (yay) or if there's a known problem with silver paint. The car's leased and I actually don't care about the paint because it's not all that noticeable, but I don't want to be held responsible for it when I turn it in.

I have Phantom black paint on my 07 2.0T and i have noticed a blotch on the hood that appears faded...like water spots. Let me know how that goes at the dealer.
If you could, is it possible to post some pictures of the discoloration?

I see a lot of A4's in silver with noticeably mismatched bumpers.

In some light the sides of the car look as if the car has very, very faint 'tiger stripes' on the sides.

The 'tiger stripes' look like barely discernable vertical light and dark bands, as if the painting robot had a glitch.

I noticed it from day one, but don't really care. No paint job is perfect and it's only noticable when the car is 100% clean and in just the right light.

Same issue here.. 2007 a4 silver.. on the hood, and the roof and the rear drivers quarter. They buffed the hood one at one point, thought it went away must have just been the gleem I liked :-) anyway they are still there looks cloudy under the clear coat, this is a lease and I was considering buying it at the end.. not so sure unless they will remedy this.. I am going to the dealer on this and will let you all know as well.

Have the same problem, two spots on the hood (also a leased 07 A4 Silver). Was at the dealer yesterday, they noted it in their log (second one they've seen) and will have me swing by to show it to the factory rep next time he's in town.

I know OLD post. Just curious if any remedy/conclusion came from this? Or just starting a new/old topic I seem to have the same issue.
