Anyone changed City Lights on a non-HID (halogen) B7?

From what ive heard u need to...
take the front end of the car off to get to the lights, but I looked at it myself and figured i could change all the lights through those caps that pop off behind the light units. I reached in and was able to move the light bulbs around but didnt bother to pull them out...
