anyone have problems with 3rd gear syncro?

I had that same problem about 9 months ago, a couple months after i got my car. 3rd gear syncro just decided to stop working for some reason, so i sent the car back to the dealer and they replaced my transmission. The dealer decided that it was a factory default which is why i could get my transmission replaced for free (under warrenty)

Mine did the same thing but it wasn't the synchro's or transmission.
Even though multiple synchros were replaced and eventually the entire transmission was replaced, the grinding continued. It ended up being something like the pressure plate that was out of spec by a fraction of an inch. It was enough to cause the occassional grinding and to kick me out of gear before engagement. Make sure they've checked everything before they start chopping up your transmission...
