Default Anyone have tire problems / vibration after 1st rotation

Here's my story, chime in if you've had a similar experience, and if you can share some tips:

- Had the 8K maintenance, new oil, rotated tires
- After rotating the tires, the car shimmies over 115 KM/H
- Audi re-balanced the tires - car still shimmies
- Audi did road force balancing - car still shimmies, however the Hunter 9700 revealed that two tires had high radial force variation: 22lbs and 24lbs (something like that). The Audi standard is 14lbs.

The service manager said he'd call Pirelli and Audi to see what they can do. He thinks they'll pro-rate the cost of replacing the tires.

My position is that an unround tire/flat spot is a defect and that the problem was present from time of purchase (6 months ago). Only until the tires were rotated to the front did I feel the shimmy.

Has anyone had a similar experience, and what was the outcome?

Thanks

Not a solution, but have you tried rotating them back just to see what happens?

Default The OEM tires that are on my car summer "MAXX" whatevers suck in the same way

They are really noisy and just suck.

My all season rims with P-Zero M&S are nice and quiet with plenty of grip no vibrations etc.

Default Had a similar issue

There was a slight vibration at 120 KPH from the time of delivery. Dealer did road force balancing and it mimimized it to an extent that i can hardly feel it so i haven't bothered about it. In my case only happens at 120 kph. If you go faster it disappears - maybe that's the solution.

Default Re: Haven't tried, but it was recommended

The tech recommended never rotating the tires. I wasn't sold on that idea.
