Anyone regret getting NAV for 2K or regret not getting it???
Going to place an order for a 2.0t S-line with all options but still can make up my mind to go with NAV or not. Any personal experience with this same decision would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't get it.
I don't need it. About 90% of my driving is in areas I know very well, so a NAV system would almost never be used. The few times I do drive in areas I'm not familiar with, a map is just fine for me.
Your decision should be based on your own driving needs, not those of others. If it will likely be just anothet gadget, don't bother. If it can function as a real driving aid for you, then go for it.

I didn't get it.
Now, I bought my car off the lot and neither of the cars I was interested in had Nav.
I was happy about that because I was already at the upper end of my price range. If it had Nav I wouldn't have been able to afford it.
Well, that's not really true. I could have afforded it but 35K was already the most I'd planned to spend.
Do I regret not getting Nav?
Sometimes..... but that's usually only when I'm here reading about how great it is.
I certainly haven't needed it.

resale value. in 3-5 years more and more cars will have nav as "standar
Are you saying in 3-5 years NAV will have a high re-sale? That would be a big negative. They cost $2,000 and in 3-5 years they will around $200-300, not to mention the technology will be 100X better. It may make someone pick your car over another in the same condition for the same price, but will not increase the value anywhere near $2000.

I regret that it cost 2-freaking-grand!
I guess I'm becoming an old fart. I have always loved cars and I like computers, AV gear and all sorts of electronic toys. But, Im not all that interested in having an entertainment center/computer in my car.
I have no interest in Nav, it's really cool, but I can think of hundreds of things I would get more enjoyment out of for $2k. 2nd Plasma screen for bedroom, new computer, new patio, landscaping, new Sony ES AV receiver, tube amp for upstairs audio room, better turntable for audio room, the list goes on.
There was a time when I spend lots of time and money outfitting my car with a 'killer' stereo, but now I'm putting all my time and effort into my home.
If you like Nav+, then by all means get it and enjoy it. I'm just not 'into it' enough to spend $2,000 on it.
I am, however, very intersted in figuring out how to add bluetooth, but only if I can enable the existing steering wheel buttons. I don't want a stick-on button box in my interior if I can avoid it.

Resale?
Most here lease so there is no resale. Otherwise, I'd guess that Nav owners take a bigger hit on resale since high priced options depreciate faster than a block of ice on Miami Beach.
