APR upgrade
Is there anyone who has done APR EMC upgrade for at least two months? Any thoughts? Results? Problems? I am about to do it and really would appreciate some insight. Thanks

Re: APR upgrade
I was incredibly impressed the very first time I ran through the gears (tires chirping for the first time on launch). It truly does feel like a new car. My cousin, who owns a B6 S4, said from the passenger seat..."Dude, this feels like my car." The torque increase is amazing. Forget the numerical figures and dyno runs. Just get behind the wheel. Going tomorrow to get the stock + other programs added.

Re: APR upgrade
Is your warranty voided now? I mean thats bad joo joo if the dealership finds out. I want to chip mine so badly but especially since mine is premier purchase, I'm definately scared of the dealership.

if it does you wont get anywhere near the hp increase of a turbocharged car...
With turbos all thats really needed is a raise in boost levels and others and dramatic increases can be had. this is not true for naturally aspirated engines like the 3.2

Re: APR upgrade
If it wasn't for warranty concerns, I'd be chipped right now. This was mentioned in another message here on what Audi service typically does now:
1. Ask the obvious "do you have a chipped ECU" question.
2. Do a quick visual inspection.
3. Test drive car with 5052 in car - monitor boost levels and other "readings". If you are out of factory specs (ie: chipped = more boost, etc.) then it's a no brainer
4. Check ECU "DNA" some programs change it, others do not check for this.
5. Charge you double for the repair because you did not tell me in the first place. (Well not sure about this one).
One of the guys in Ottawa if I recall was asked at the time he picked up the car if the car was chipped or not (but was in stock mode apparently), of course the answer is no but it was, so it's all a cat and mouse game.

Re: Are you quattro?
yes It is a quattro- warranty voidance is The only thing preventing me from doing so. However my service manager made some noises about this being an awesome car when chipped- :"You know you can chipped it..." see if i can work on him.
