audi A4 avant sline 2L petrol, 2006. epc warning light
my car is intimately coming up with the engine light and the EPC light when this comes on the power is lagging, when the warning light is not on the power is fine, The EPC light sometimes seems to go when the engine is hot. we have had a number of repairs including engine speed sensor, spark plugs, fuel pump and full service, we then had the diagnostic reset but the warning lights have come back on, what could this be?? Code error coming up are: P0034, P2294, P0245, P0030, P0458, P0031, P0036, P0444. Many thanks

wow - nice collection of error codes. You will find one is causing the others, so start with the more likely.
After 10 years the N75 valves are reaching end of life for a little plastic solenoid. (cost about $50). The fact the problem is intermittent I would start with that. I have seen some write ups on testing but really - 10 years of service it's worth replacing for peace of mind.(IMHO) and its a 5 minute DIY.
The N80 purge valve is also cheap plastic (cost $15). usually if it fails it stays failed. the fact your symptoms come and go, less likely.
less likely still - you are throwing a code for the fuel pressure regulator (N276) could be, these a pretty robust.
less, less likely still - both oxygen sensors throwing codes at the same time, no moving parts here, if they really have failed then the problem would be apparent all the time.
So, while I'm not one to throw parts at a car for fun, my guess is the N75. For yours should be part number 06A906283E.
