2007 A4 2.0 Quattro check engine light on again
I own a 2007 A4. 115K miles, original owner. I have had the car to the dealership three times with the engine check light coming on.
The first time they told me the injector was dirty and needed to be cleaned due to built up from the type of gasoline ( unleaded 91 octane with ethanol )$250.00 service. This service success lasted two days. The service engine light came back on.
The second time into the dealership, they told me the injector needs to be replaced in the first cylinder. I agreed to this service, approximately $500.00 repair. This service success lasted one week. I called and informed them that the service engine light came back on again.
They picked up the car and gave me a service loaner. one week went by and they could not figure out what the problem is. They informed me that it was the the fuel injector. Surprise, I invested $750.00 into the car with no results.
I spoke with the service department today. They has to get Audi corporate involved to figure out the issue with the engine. They informed me that the problem is the cylinder head and want to charge me $4000.00 to replace it with a rebuilt part.
I need HELP from everyone on the forum. i do not wan to invest 4K to find out that this wasn't the problem once again. Has anyone run into this issue, if so, how was it resolved.
