Bizarre brake light problem!
My wife's A4 has had a really weird issue that we've seen a couple of times now; we've seen a red glow coming from the garage, only to find that the brake lights were on. Getting in the car and tapping the brakes stops it, but I can't figure out the cause. I've VAG'd it but came up with nothing. Has anyone seen this before, or have any ideas? Thanks.

Take it to the dealership...
faulty brake sensor. Had this happen on my B6 and didn't notice it until I was driving on the highway and the brake sensor engaged. On a CVT it will cut off the throttle.

Re: Dumb question...
Refers to VAG-COM, a piece of diagnostic software for all Volkswagen owned companies' cars (not sure about Bentley or Lamborghini) from Ross-Tech. It can pull up any DTCs the car may have.
