Default bluetooth phone help...

which phone will work better in the b7 with bluetooth capability/compatabilty?

1) motorola v710 (any1 have any bad experience with this model? is it ok? is it good?)

or

2) motorola E815 (any1 have any bad experience with this model? is it ok? is it good?)

both these phones have bluetooth and according to this chart (click here - http://www.powerpuppy.com/audi/Audi%20Bluetooth%20Compatibility%200907051.pdf ) by audi, the v710 will work good in the beast however the E815 is newer and i think its simply not on the chart...

can anyone confirm if the E815 enables all BT features in the b7?

im not worried about the cradle

why am i comparing... the E815 is a little more ergonomic and seems easier to operate and is newer (i think)

thanks.

Default Drive your car to the nearest Carrier Store...

...and ask them to let you try it out.

It's in their best interests to let you try and pair them together and get it to work - see which one works best. You won't get to see it operating under every circumstance (low signal, etc.) but at least you'll get an idea. Carriers don't like getting phones back and most stores have quotas to avoid it also.

Beware of Verizon phones. Do not assume the bluetooth will work as Motorola intended. (See class action lawsuit on V710) The best advice is like LimeyHoya says, try it first at the store.

http://www.mobiledia.com/news/37069.html</a

Just got an E815 and it seems to work fine. The only thing is that the manual says that it's supposed to show what kind of number it is (mobile, home, etc.) and it does not. Makes going through the list rather difficult, if you have several numbers for the same name. Could not get voice control work right either. I wish they would just pass that through to the phone instead.

Other htan that, sound is good, and at least you get caller ID on the dashboard...
