Howdy, first post here.

I just found myself in an 05 a4 2.0

The previous owner had started removing the from clip to replace a water pump.

I finished that today, timing belt and water pump went on just fine.

she starts and drives but has a few goblins I need to fix.

one of which is this hose. I can’t for the life of me figure out where it connects.

driver side, hard line that connects to soft rubber





any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Krash: I believe it to be a sensor line that connects to the brake booster circuit. See attached pic. Unfortunately it appears to be broken off the main fitting. That plastic crap! Geez.

Edit: I found the cheapest available on Parts Geek $53 but a salvaged one could be had for a few dollars I'm sure. Check out your local LKQ pick a part yard.

Confirmed yes, the plastic nipple is broken off the bottom. I’ll Oder a replacement
