Default A/C Problems in Hot Summer

Summer is around the corner and I am dreading the problem that I have with the A/C system. On a hot day, I put the A/C on in Manual Mode, Lo setting, and it works normal. I start driving the car and after about 5-7 minutes, when I come to a traffic light and wait for about 30 seconds, i can feel the A/C compressor briefly turn off and the Air Temp out of the vents are not as cold (you can also smell the difference, like running in ECON mode). After about 30 seconds, the compressor turns back on and the Air is cold again and remains cold for the rest of the trip. This senerio only happens once when the A/C is turned during an initial trip.
I took the car to the dealer and they found nothing wrong of course.
Any Suggestions??

Try a ride and drive with a technician. Usually if you can reproduce the problem they have an easier time finding it.

Mine does the same thing. I wondered about it, but have never asked the dealer. If I recall, I had a Toyota that did the same thing.

It is supposed to do that, when the cabin temp reaches your desirable level it doesn't leave the cold air pumping, either that, or could be a bad A/C clutch. Any squealing?
