Default cant find the specifics on the turbo setup (+)

1. what turbo do we have?
2. how many psi does it make?
3. is the size of the turbo the reson the torque and hp are so low at the hi end when chipped?
4. Is there a classification of tuning stuff for this car? like a list of products by type of device by manufacturer? FAQ-type thing?

Also, I understand in the US you run your cars on 91? And 93 is recommended? Here in Russia 95 is allowed and 98 recommended (93 and 95, respectively, in your case).

Last thing - I have a turbo-timer installed, what would you recommend to set it at? Options are 40sec, 2 and 4 min.

Thanks a lot,
Andrei

1. K03
2.
3. Its a small turbo designed to increase torque, to get HP higher up in rev range you need a larger turbo

I think that octane is calculated differently in the US (min RON) so the octane is the same for Europe and the US

Turbo timer isn't required in the 2.0T FSI, it has a coolant afterrun system that cools the turbo after shutdown.

I know about the difference in RON vs. ROZ/RON methods, however, it looks like you are allowed to run on a lower octane than Europe.
[later edit: checked the ratio, it's the same with you and Europe]

Regarding the turbo size - just what I thought. Turbo-timer came standard with the aftermarket security system I installed, so I opted to activate it just as well - does no harm really, plus we sometimes drive at higher speeds than you are allowed to.

Thanks for your answers,
Andrei
