hello, this my first post here, i hope this is the right place on the forum.
i have a problem with my a4 since 2 weeks now, before it used to start with 2-3 tries and now it wont please check this video, one friend of mine said its a prob with the gear box, and he said that it should not be flashing on the screen (see video).
if that is right it will cost about 2000$, please reply for any less cost solution or what should i do.
i hope video quality is good enough, excuse my bad English and thank you.

This could be a problem with the sensor that tells the car that the vehicle is in park or nuetral and is okay to start. the name is pronounced " prindle switch", PRNDL. Or, it could be the crank position sensor. alot of times this sensor goes out and it takes multiple tries to start the vehicle. First place to start though is to have the codes read at a local shop or auto parts store.
