Default Can't stand the 2.0T anymore...thinking about trading for a B6 S4 and take a minimal hit

Good idea guys???? Gas mileage doesn't concern me....I just need to have a V8 back after ditching my B7 S4.

Anybody else growing tired of their 2.0t and want a more thrilling ride?

p.s. before you ask, a chip/flash will not please me... the rough drone of the 4 banger has worn out its welcome with me.

Default Wow! I coulda had a V-8...

...and from the looks of it, you go thru cars like a ho on dollar day. My advice: go get your V-8 and be happy again.

Default Wow

If you took a small hit on every car on your list, you could probably buy a rental property outright, lol.

I guess I understand though....just to me, its either going to be a TON of power, or it doesn't really matter, so I cheap out and save cost/fuel.

Even the RS4 is "low" on power compared to a 600 HP 03 Cobra, so knowing that nothing reasonable can give me the same thrill I was used to, and I cant afford BOTH that kind of power and the killer fit/finish of an AWD TT Porsche, I just opt for the 4 banger Audi, save the fuel (and pennies) until I can have a 600 HP Porsche =o)

Default I agree with you.... and that was my reasoning when I originally got my A4

I have my sports car... go for a comfortable efficient DD to get my through the winters. But recently I figured that with a minimal hit I could have a more fun DD that I would look forward to driving more..... Thats reasonable, right? Anyways, anybody ever have a similar thought?

Default I'm thinking about doing the same, but waiting for lease to end in January

By then, the B6S4 should have dropped some more.

If not, I'll really cheap out and get an 01-03 330Ci for a year or two.

Default Why I got rid of my B6 S4 and got a 2.0T...

The B6 S4 has a great motor, but aside from that, the car was boring! Like driving a Lexus boring. The recaros look great, but are not very comfortable. The heavy front end makes cornering fell like snow plowing. The DBW is the absolute worst Audi has ever made. And, mileage is not a big deal for me, getting 200 per tank in the city makes for many trips to the gas station, with not a lot of fun in between.

I have other toys in the garage, so the 2.0T as a DD is just fine. I miss being able to pull away from nearly anything on the road on a whim, but not that much.

Default Ditch the little A4 and go get an R8.

Just go get an Audi R8 and call it your daily driver (grin.) Car and Driver just rated the R8 tops over a 911 Turbo.

Default I went from B6S4 to B7A4. I miss the V8 torque (low end) and sound and seats

but 200 miles per tank and it was heavy. Mine was modded with everything plus **** not even for sale and I loved it. there are things not as good about the 2.0T but there are also things better. Overall im happy.
