Changing A4's lighting mode to European mode
Hey,
I live in the U.S. and I just bought the B8 style headlights with the LEDs for my B7. Little did I know that the yellow center lights that are my turn signals would turn on every time the LEDs are on. In all the videos just the LEDs are on, but since I'm in the U.S. the lighting configuration is different. So now I have to turn the lighting programming on the car from U.S. to outside U.S. or to European. After some talk with my boss (a 2011 S4 owner) he said we have to use the VAG-COM program. I just need to find out what code switches the headlights to Euro style. Does anyone happen to have some experience with this? I heard that if you change something in that VAG-COM program, you can really screw some stuff up and make the car undriveable. That really scares me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to open up VAG-COM, go into the 09 Central Electric Module and recode there. Depending on what the code is now, will depend on what you need to update it to. Check out Rosstechs website to find out the code(it depends on if you have halogens/xenons, what is already coded on your car etc). Typically you add to your existing code.
