Default Changing Wood on New A4

Hi there,
I had my order written up with dark wood and specified that the deposit was refundable if they couldn't locate the car to my specs. The dealer located one with light (vavona) wood. I asked if they would do anything since the wood is different and they said they can't change the wood b/c it goes over the aluminum. I wasn't born yesterday and know in most cars you can change the wood. Is there something special about the A4 that you can't?? He says is goes over the aluminum so if the aluminum were in there, they could change it but now they can't. I think I may just go to the Sales Manager and ask what he can do for me. Any thoughts?

LOL The wood does not go over the aluminum. It's a separate piece.

Yeah I know but that's what he's telling me. I'm thinking of just going to the Sales Manager and asking what he can do since I can get my deposit back (b/c of the way it was written up).

Is there a chance when they change the wood that there could be problems afterwards? Isn't factory installed better?

Thanks.

Factory installed is always best but if an Audi dealership knows what they are doing, they can do a similar job. I have priced out the Vavona wood (I got the fiberglass, want to trade?) in the parts department and it's very expensive to piece it together.

I want the dark wood.
Maybe someone else on here will trade. Good luck.
Thanks.

I would trade the aluminum for any of the wood interiors in a minute...

Apparently wood goes over wood. Doesn't look so good either.
