Default Confused...Comparison between APR chip and GIAC regarding tiptronic

Sry i know, once again i should be searching forums but due to lack of sleep, and time im just going to ask. I have an 07 2.0 T tiptronic...i read that the GIAC comes with an x or y chip...the lower performance going to the tip. Regarding the APR chip..does it work in the same way? or is it based on the octane rating, can i buy the 93 octane for my tiptronic?

Default Now I'm confused too.

I got the GIAC X last year for my tip. Now on the AWE website the X chip shows "manual" transmission type in the chart for X.

The only thing I can think of is the CVT with X-Chip is a no-no.

Default The B7 tiptronic does not need a lower power chip at all. It has a very high torqe capacity...

probably more than the MT actually.
