Contemplating Buying a 2005.5 A4
Hello, I am a new member here and was just wondering what you all think about the 2005 Mid year update on the A4. The car I'm interested in is a 3.2L FSI V6 quattro. I currently have a 2002 Passat GLX 2.8L V6 30V, and I wanted to upgrade to this A4. I love the color and interior, it is exactly what I wanted.
Question is, would it be worth it? My car has 87,600 miles on it and I can sell it for around 4-5 thousand dollars.
What is the maintenance like on this car besides oil changes, which my step dad's shop can do that for 30 dollars. I know this car has a timing chain so no timing belt to be changed, but inspection done to the timing chain and hope it doesn't need to be replaced.
The owner has a small private dealership with excellent reviews and he said the car was well maintained and is a 1 owner with a clean car fax and maintenance records from the dealer. I have Vag-Com Lite and will bring it with me if I look at the car to check for any codes it may be hiding (I hope there are none!)
I am sorry to say this, but I am not 18, (I am 17.5 years old) but I really needed to ask this question.

What kind of other repairs would it need? Not much more expensive than the passat I would imagine. I have access to his lifts at the shop after hours as long as it doesn't take a couple days to do the project, so if it is an easy DIY repair I could probably do it there with his help.
