Default creaking noises...

Hey
Has anyone experienced a constant creaking noise in their new audi a4? The right (passenger side) of the car always seems to make a creaking noise going around turns and out of garages, etc.. Not sure if the panels inside are not bolted correctly. Any advice?

How many miles on your A4, and did you get the creaking right away when new, or later on? I have 3,000 miles on my 06 A42.0TQTip and so far zero noises (rattles, creaks, etc.) This is a major issue for me - I once sold a car after 2 months because the noises were driving me crazy. I guess if creaks, etc. lie ahead for me I should be happy I have only 21 months left on my 24 month lease. Really, I cannot see how a luxury car can have creaks, rattles, etc. I'd rather go back to a 1960's VW bug with wind-up windows - at least they were rattle-free, if memory serves.

It might be the rubber seals.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4b7/threads/3918.phtml">Creaking noise and how to eliminate it</a></li></ul>

It's nothing, just rubber on rubber door seals that need to be treated with either silicone or armorall. Also do the sunroof weatherstrip where it comes into contact with roof. That is also a source of creaks.

Hope this helps...

Next time in your car, push up slightly on the closed sunroof glass, if so equipped. You'll likely hear the creak/squeak. 3 A4's in a row for me and all always creaked - more so in cold weather - a little silicone lubricant around the edges stopped it.

The car has under 5000 miles but noise started a few months ago but with the radio loud it is hard to hear them...LOL. I think i will try what others have suggested on this post or take it to dealer to check it out.

Had the same problem on my B6. I sprayed the rubber seals around the doors with a silicon spray and problem solved. I also ocassinally spray the rubber seal around the sunroof which is another source for creaks. I think if you do that, you'll find all the difference in the world!
