Default Dead key

Went to go home from work and remote door unlock didn't work. Opened the door manually and when i got home, tried the other key and it worked. Ifound out from the manual how to reset the key and it's all good now. What would cause the key to suddenly die like that? The battery in the key is still good or else the reset would not have worked. Any ideas?

There's a TSB about this. Call your dealer and get them replaced.

Default Here's how I get this to happen...

After driving the car, switch off the ignition and remove the key. Open the driver's door and press the 'trunk open' button on the remote key. This seems to stop the remote key working for me and I need to reset it.
Always seems to happen to me at Wal-Mart for some reason...
