Do I need to order new B7 with sport suspension?
i have couple months left for my leased B6 and i was looking for B7 with sport suspension. went to two dealers, they all saying that i have to order the car with sport suspension. It's only $250 option. how come i have to order that? i don't understand...

The sport suspension is now a seperate item ever since the S-line package came out for the B7
S-line package is much more of course than just the sports suspension and pricier.
Early B7 A4s did not have the S-line package available as an option like mine, so cars brought in by the dealer, some had the sports suspension and some didn't. Now it's S-line package and non-sport.

If you want sport suspension without the S-Line package then yes it's sold-order only option.
Reason being that Audi is trying to make more $$$ by pushing the more $$$ S-Line.

Depends on the dealer.
Commonweath in Orange County has 06's on their lot with sport suspension (non-Sline), though it's supposed to be a "sold order option," just like certain paint colors.

Changing tires is a 1 hour DIY job every 6 months. I can live with that.
If you don't plan on modding your car then I think the sport suspension at $250 is a steal. But it will be the longest 2 months of your life while you wait. But I find it well worth the wait.

Swapping tires out is a small inconvenience
I rather have peace of mind that I have the best possible tires for the season, especially for winter. All all seasons tires are a comprimise. They suck in braking in winter which is the most important thing.
Trust me.

that's sucks...s-line is more than 10 times pricier than just sport suspension...
i know the price difference is for other parts (body kit, wheels), but if i want just sport suspension without ordering, then s-line is only choice. :-(

yes, i know...but
i don't really have any place to put summer/winter tires when not in use...
i asked same question to myself and audiworld members when i tried to get b6 on 2003.
at that time, sport pkg only comes with summer tires, so i just ordered w/o sport pkg although many people suggested to get sport and winter tires...
