Jason I like the housing but am not thrilled over the bottom drain plug.On the Audi A4 the filter housing is up inside where if you just pulled the drain plug it is difficult to get a small pan to catch the oil. The present valve with the hose makes this a clean operation. Is there a way to screw in an oil drain valve so you can hook a hose up to drain the can. Also this is a robust design but did you consider making an adapter that would use a spin on filter or an adapter that would allow you to locate a remote filter. Nice job.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I highly suggest picking up a form a funnel for things like this. Check out the link below.

Jason please do us all a favor and see how this installation works in an Audi A4 quttro. Look at the location and how you can drain the oil from the bottom of the housing. I'm considering getting one for my kids car but I would like to find an easier way to drain the housing without getting the suspension components messey. When you look you'll see that the flex funnel won't work to well. Thanks

Default problematic

since when the original housing has been problematic?
we do services daily on these housings and never had any problems with them, they are not new at all as many manufacturers used them for a long time.

OK I guess I'll pass and stay with the drain check valve on the OEM housing. It isn't worth it to me to try to clean up the oil after you pull the drain plug. There isn't to much room under the filter to drain the oil into a container because of the suspension parts. On my next oil change I'll see if I can get a funnel up there . Thanks

We have a B7 A4 in the shop now so I'll make sure to stop back there and have a look.
