Default Found another annoyance :)

OK - so, 2 days, around 275 miles and there is one more thing that annoys me. At 40 mph wiht the sunroof fully opened (the glass fully recessed in the roof line), there is a wicked buffeting noise at 40 mph-50 mph. It sounds like I am in an episode of Airwolf! I found by closing the roof the next setting (slight amount of glass visible), it is completely gone.

Other than that, and the totally useless "door is locked....oops, not really locked" feature, the car is wonderful

This is found on nearly all cars with a sunroof. I usually open the rear windows and it goes away, or adjust the sunroof. Also, opening the rear windows only and nothing else also results in a very bad wind noise.

Default This is why the sunroof dial

doesn't go all the way back anymore. The back-most locking position is the position where this popping noise doesn't happen. In order to get it fully open you need to hold the button past the spring loaded point - a conscious action is needed.

yep - I know this. Just seems like they missed something in the development of the wind "diffuser" that pops up. Does not make sense that in this day and age, such a noise should happen on a new car! The roof on my 1990 V8 Q goes all the way back into the roof....no noise there (though its got its own share of "quirks"!)

As the topic says...just an annoyance I noticed. I wil try cracking the rear windows and see if it helps

thanks!

Why do you want to lock yourself inside your car anyways.

Default I used to do this; it made the headliner filthy near the rear windows.

I went back to just using the comfort position.
