Gas mileage poll: chipped 6MT city/hwy/mixed driving - what are you getting?
A local guy is claiming 40 mpg hwy & 29.9 mixed driving with a Neuspeed chip & intake along with the power increase from the chip. I would believe a 2-3 mpg improvement but 10-12 seems to be a stretch. I've been on AW for a long time & tuned 4 different S4s at different levels & an allroad so I am very familiar w/ the 2.7T & not so much with the 2.0. What are/were you guys getting MPG stock & MPG since you chipped? Thanks for helping out an old timer. :-)

That sounds like absolute b.s. to me.
On a recent all-freeway trip down to Napa from Seattle I was averaging about 30mpg (using the trip comp, not actual calculations) and the trip comp said average speed was about 67 mph. So how he's getting TEN mpg better than that is totally baffling. The "lifetime" average on my trip comp (I've never reset comp #2) hovers between 23 and 24mpg on my car, and I'm at 17,000 miles and do probably 65% city driving.
I have APR software + exhaust btw.

i keep track of my mileage at every fillup
i drive aggressive sometimes, and easy other times
i average 20-22mpg for city driving
highway, 27-31mpg
i do real math, miles between fillups/gallons... i do not go by the mileage computer... i just use it to help gauge if i need to keep my foot off the pedal for the rest of the tank.
i average 300-360 miles and fill up 15-16 gallons each time.
im apr chipped for 93 octane

Same here. I've tracked every drop.
Mine's a tip, but I see similar results as you.
22mpg mixed
26mpg on a highway run
22mpg mixed
