Default Has anyone had a camber problem after putting the H&R spings on?

the shop that put them on said that it is as good as they can get it without building some camber plates for the shock towers. Is this true or BS? Thanks for the help

Did you just have it aligned and everything was OK? because he is telling me that it should be adjusted and he is also saying that there is no way to adjust it, kind of ironic.

Default Are you saying your alignment is slightly off even after adjustment?

After I had my Stasis coilovers installed the shop that did the alignment said that they couldn't *quite* bring it back to factory spec, but they were pretty close. I think this is fairly normal for a lowered car, because it happened with the Hypercoil spring/Koni shock setup I had on my B5 too.

yes it is slightly off, i have never had a lowered car before this one so i was not sure as to how it would ride, the ride is ok and the alignment seems to be ok but he is telling me my camber is off, but everything feels ok to me it seems to drive the same as it did before i had the springs put on just slightly stiffer ride

Sub-frame alignment should get it where it needs to be...Or pretty close

Default If it's slightly off then it shouldn't be too big of a deal. Rotate your tires regularly.

Beyond a certain amount of lowering, it's nearly impossible to get the alignment all the way back on these cars. A little camber isn't the end of the world.

Default Camber is off since our fronts are fixed and not adjustable but it isn't that big of a deal

the extra camber will actually help you when cornering.

Just check your tires more regularly and rotate them to distribute the wear.

Default 17K miles on H&R coilovers

I have 17K miles after installing H&R coilovers right after purchase in 2006. Had your same questions then, and got the same answers you're getting now, that it's no big deal. Since then, I've rotated tires faithfully, and wear is better than expected, even after one track weekend (with two more scheduled). Have had no further alignment checks done, since tires show normal wear. If anything, better than I expected.

Good ride, great handling (I also added rear H&R sway bar). Not cheap, but a fully effective and satisfying mod.
