Hey there, question for all you B7 ppl (i'm B5) , i'm looking into buying a new B7 A4...............

i am looking into buying a new B7, but i havn't made up my mind about 2.0T or 3.2. also i would like to see if anyone has encountered any problems with their B7's so far. anything big and small would help alot. owning a B5 i have had my share of issues but i have heard that the new ones are much more reliable.

So question here is, how many ppl have had problems with their cars already? (even recalls count), if so what problems?.

Thanks guys,

only one problem...

I had to get my tranny replaced because of a factory default but that got fixed in about one week. After that everythign was awsome. It was still awsome before it got replaced, i just had to get a new tranny put in thats all.

Re:So far, 1919 Problem-Free Miles on the A4

So far, no problems whatsoever. I'm very pleased with my `05.5 Brilliant Red 2.0T Quattro.

Why did they have to replace your tranny?

3000+ problem free miles which is more than I can say about my 02 B6.

No regrets about moving on at all.

I agree

I too had an 02 A4 that had a few irritating (but quickly fixed under warranty) issues.

I've now got 6000 miles on my 05.5 2.0TQ Tip with zero issues.

I suspect that, since the B7 isn't really a "totally" new model, that most of the growing pains have been worked out of the platform.

I think you'll be very happy if you pull the trigger on a B7.
