If Audi switched from belts to chains it would have noted so in the literature
in the press release - like it did on the S4 V8.
Although the chain still needs to be serviced like the belt(very unusual) which means pulling the engine on the S4.

Correction about the 2.0T FSI
The 2.0 happens to use a belt and the 3.2 uses a chain. I was almost certain they were both chains but I guess pobodys nerfect.

Its hard to tell but...
It looks like the belt on the 2.0 is in the front and the 3.2 the chain sits in the rear.
