Introducing myself and my first project
Hi fellow Audi enthusiasts,
I just wanted to introduce myself, I'm a forum and car enthusiast, drone racer nerd. My mech background mostly comes from my e36 i sold last year. I replaced vanos, tie rods, control arms, sway bars, bushings all around, alternator, power steering, had that thing mechanically tip top. Sold it cause we needed a truck, drove that for a year and finally after looking for e46 zhp, and e90 328, I could not find any manuals and decided to test drive the beauty attached.
2008 Audi A4 Quattro 2.0T with sline and 6sp manual. only 100K miles and clean as hell. I didn't get a stupid good deal, in Boise, ID we usually don't. I paid $7000 but was oh so close to dropping $8500 on a 2004 330 ZHP which wasn't even close to as clean as this.
The car has lots of power, but didn't quite feel like 208HP so I took a look at the turbo diverter valve first. It was leaking oil out the plug and the wires were ripped off, and mangled.. I soldered them back and it seemed to be a little better. I removed the diverter vavle out of curiosity and it just kinda fella part.. Well I'm off to go install the new turbo diverter valve (piston style from ECS tuning). Now, do I replace the PCV valve too and do stage 1 ecu tune or leave it bone stock and drive it to 200K.... choices....
