Default Lease on 3.2?

Hey all. I had a quick question. I just graduated from grad school and it's time for a new car...I don't have much in terms of credit...I was wondering how much a ballpark figure would be for a 3.2 A4 with premium/tech/audio packages (no S-line, no nav) with 12 or 15K miles. i'm not too picky about the length of the lease. i can put about $3000 upfront. i know that it can vary a lot depending on money factor, residual, etc, but i just want to get a ballpark figure for someone in my situation (not much credit).

i live in a big city, so i will have to pay for garage parking and increased insurance rates, and thus, i know that i should be looking at less expensive cars. i'm more focusing on the acura TL and G35 (MSRP about 10K less than A4), but i've always LOVED the A4 and if the lease can be done for about 500, i would seriously consider it. think it's possible?

Default I just placed an order for a 3.2 manual. You should be able to get close to want to pay.

I ordered:
A4 3.2 6 speed manual
Sunroof
Premium
Technology
Navigation/bluetooth
Full/premium leather
Premium Audio /w XM radio
Parktronic
Sport suspension
Headlamp washers

24 month lease, 15,000 miles/year

$1901 due at signing (includes first month)
$597/mo

Security deposit was waived because I'm coming out of an existing Audi lease.

Without the Navigation and other add-on options you could get closer to $500/mo.

Default Put as little down as possible

If you have $3k, put as little down as possible, put it into an interest bearing account...and pull out the extra as needed to cover the higher payment.

Default Thanks for your responses

Thanks for the responses guys. I will have to march myself to the Audi, Infiniti and Acura dealers and see what they say. Hopefully, I will be joining your ranks.

Also, the easy answer to my lease dilemma would be to get a 2.0T. But I just can't seem to justify giving up both space and power (the 3.2 just gives up size to the TL and G35).

Default My lease

Just signed.

MSRP $39,460 (06 3.2 tiptronic, premium, sunroof, sport suspension, sunshades)
Cap cost $300 over invoice ($36,889)
74% residual
0.00165 MCF
12k per year
$1500 total drive-off
$457 per month

It'll be hard to match that, though.

You need 600+ FICO score to qualify for an Audi lease.

Default Zero Down!!

Why put money into a car (a depreciating asset) to begin with - more so one that is not going to be yours (your leasing so its the dealer's car)!!

It just seems foolish to deplete your savings (especially cash) and take away the flexibility to meet other costs in your life just so you can lower your monthly payments by $25-$50.

Money down on a lease is probably the biggest scam in the auto industry. Just pay bank fees, taxes and registration and 1st months deposit and move on.

Default Two year.

The residual IS high. Part of the reason for leasing.

Current A4 residuals for 24 months:

10k per year = 75%
12k per year = 74%
15k per year = 72%
