Lease assumption / getting out of a lease / etc.
Hey all,
I know there are websites that allow you to put your lease up so someone can take over or vice versa. This is done officially with the leasing company, in this case, Audi/VW Financial.
My question: not counting any restrictions that may exist prior to transferring my lease to another credit-worthy person (the bank decides this, apparently,) what sort of an impact will this have on my credit history? Has anyone done anything like this? Would I have any liabilities?
Cheers!

the lease remains in your name with vw credit
the person who assumes it simply adds their name to it.
therefore, it remains on your credit, and if they go late, you're fvcked.
don't do it.

Re: you want to get out of your lease? If so how come...
Well, I think I got a lousy deal. I like the car, save for a few things, but it's costing me more than most others on this website. Still just thinking, though.
