Default Lease ending ... incentives?

My A4 reaches lease-end on July 2. I'd like to keep the car. Does anyone know what incentives/loyalty programs are currently available? Can I negotiate the buyout price?

Car details:
- 2006 A4 2.0T quattro
- nav,bluetooth,homelink,xenon lights,bose audio,satellite radio,leather,sunroof
- 25K miles (my lease allows 36K)
- residual/buyout is $22,797

Just went through the process coming off a 30 Mo lease on my '07. Audi finanial would accept nothing less than contracted residual value. Dealt with my original dealer and purcashed the car from them for 2K less. No incentives applied as they are for new only.

Yeah, from what I hear the dealer can buy the car from Audi Financial for well below your residual. My dealer said that currently what they can do is buy the car from AF, CPO it, and sell it to your for your residual. I'm hoping that's still the case when my car comes off lease, but that's a while from now.

Thanks icea. At $2K under residual, did the dealer CPO it for you?

I think dealers can buy off lease vehicles from Audi Financial for wholesale. Would be great to know how to determine wholesale price and to know cost of the CPO process.

spex, I agree, I'd love to know how to figure out the wholesale numbers. That is the exact thing my dealer told me (that they can buy from AF at wholesale).

No CPO. Would of added another 2k, but the kicker was that before it could be CPO'd, tires would need to be replaced at my expense and possibly even pads if less than 40% life remaining. I figured I would roll the dice as the CPO adds only 2 years to the factory warranty.

shoot me an email if you want. I can look up your current buyout and tell you what to expect. rreynolds@drivedag.com

Thanks AofC_RR. Does anyone know what incentives & finance rates are available for CPO purchases in June / July?

You can always let us know where you are returning it to, if you are not going after it. It sounds interesting.
