Default (long) Have the new engines been scheduled for the 2008 MY of the B7 A4?

The 2.0T rated at 210 HP and the 3.2 V6 rated at 265? The 7-speed DSG? I thought these were B8 (MY 2009) changes.

Also, what's the deal with the "revised powertrain placement to allow better handling?" Is this the 40/60 Quattro split, or are they talking about the expected changes for the B8?

Maybe they don't know much, as they call the wagon the "Avanti".....

I read this after clicking on the "A4 pricing info" link at the top of the page on this forum (A4B7):

[Quote] "The Audi A4 is a fun and spirited sedan that is competitive within its class. It delivers plenty of power, respectable gas mileage, state-of-the-art sound and Quattro all-wheel drive.

The A4 comes in sedan, wagon (Avanti), and Cabriolet models. The 2.0T engine option comes with a 210-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. The 3.2 engine option comes with an aluminum 265-hp, 3.1-liter V-6. It is controlled by a six-speed manual or a seven-speed version of Audi's DSG transmission. The S-line trim includes a sport suspension, trunklid lip spoiler, sporty side sills and brushed-aluminum interior trim. The A4 seats 5 and comes standard with leather in 3.2 models.

For 2008, the Audi A4 gets revised powertrain placement to allow better handling. [\Quote]

Audi A4 Pricing Info

I believe any real changes are not due until 2009.

Default wtf do you expect?

Hoping for DSG on B7's is rediculous, (especially since the A5 doesn't even have DSG, yet). And you want a power hike and an overhaul on the power train?

I think that the B8 might be a little more priority at the moment, seeing how it's going to be unvieled later this year.
