Default Lowering stock sport suspension as is....

Is it possible to lower the stock sport suspension any further without buying new springs or parts? Like cut off just a little more of something to give it another 1/2 or 3/4" drop. If so, what is the cost and effect on ride? I think the car gotta go down just a wee bit further if it's not too big of an ordeal. Just curious.

Default Cutting Springs change the dynamics of the spring more than just ride height...

Half the expense in lowering a car is the labor to remove the spring...
IMHO, don't cut the spring. That method is for people who don't know any better and are too cheap to do it the right way.

Go buy the appropriate set of springs to lower it properly and even consider changing out the dampers if you go beyond a 3/4" drop.

Good luck.

Gain some weight, or get couple cement bags.

Default Do it right or don't do it. You will regret cheaping out and it will eventually cost you more $$

The right way would be to upgrade to springs and dampers that are matched to each other and to your car specifically. Cutting the spring or even just changing the springs without dampers will adversely affect your suspension in the long run.
