Default maintenance and wheel plans

I am thinking of getting these from the dealer since I live in NYC and any visit to the local dealer will be $$$$$$$ and the roads are so rough around here that I see and endless stream of Audis with wheel problems.

Are there set charges for these plans? I thought there were but the dealer's paperwork makes me think otherwise. $599 for the wheel insurance and $780 for 5 years of maintenance is what they are charging. Any comments? Thanks. Yale

Default Re: maintenance and wheel plans

The maintenance plan is pretty straight forward, you know what you're getting. But, be sure to read the fine print with the wheel and tire hazard insurance. I was going to get it until I saw everything that wasn't covered. My biggest fear, curb scrapes, are not. Even if you hit a pothole or something else in the road, the wheel/tire is evaluated by the insurance company and then they determine if your entitled to repair or replacement.

Default Agree wheel plan not worth it

It only covers wheels if the tire was destroyed. If you hit a pothole and it deflates the tire and the wheel gets damaged you're covered. If you scrape a curb or the side of a pothole and get wheel damage it is not covered if the tire is OK.
