ok, I am not technical for cars to understand the hp/torque etc..I was planning on getting an S4 but if the B8 (2008) model comes out in june 2007 (my dealer said that's what they were expecting). I would rather get a 2.0t and chip it for a couple of years.

I live in Montreal, and I know people who had their jettas chipped with Neuspeed and are up to about 255hp. In terms of the different chips, what gives you the biggest increase in HP and fastest 0-60 time and what are the new 0-60 times. If it's not worth it, I'll just get a 3.2, the resale will be higher anyways. Please keep it simple thanks boys! I'm driving a 2002 3.0 now, but it's just missing a bit of kick.

Chipped 2.0T will be faster than the 3.2 or the 3.0 you are driving. I am still waiting to see how much faster.

I have been there, and decided on a 2.0T. Only thing I really wish I could get is the European S-Line seats or the S4 seats.

ok, so 0-60 the 2.0T is faster than the 3.2? They should end up having the same HP though. I hope someone has some times, the technical stuff I can't interpret too well, all I know is 0-60 heh

a chipped 2.0t will be faster then a 3.2. The HP will be about the same , but thhe chipped 2.0t will have about 40-50 more TQ. And it is the TQ which will make the car feel faster and get you to 60 faster.

Overall drivability improves with a chip as well. I chipped my old 1.8T and actually got BETTER gas mileage too! Plus the 2.0T is just a bit lighter than the 3.2, so ALL dynamic performance (braking, turning, etc) will be better. (They say for every 100lbs lighter in weight, its worth a tenth of second in accleration).
